The Eastern Sward Golf Club is a 9 hole, Par 67, 4911 metre course which was incorporated in October 1990as part of the Social Club of the Eastern Treatment Plant belonging to the Melbourne Water Corporation which at that time collected all green fees and maintained the golf course. In 1995 the Golf Club broke away from the umbrella of the Social Club and leased the golf course from Melbourne Water. It is a spacious flat course elevated 3-4 metres above sea level, generously covered with trees and shrubs and also three small lakes to add to the country atmosphere of the area. The small greens are lightly bunkered but are true and consistent throughout the seasons. An abundance of birdlife adds to the quietness and serenity of the surroundings interrupted only ocassionally by small recreational aircraft flying overhead.
