There are some excellent value budget Melbourne accommodation options for backpackers/budget travellers in Melbourne. These can be found both in the Central Business District (CBD) and in outlying suburbs. From elsewhere in the city take either the train or the tram. By train, travel to Parliament Square and exit the station using the Spring Street exit. By tram, take a route along either Collins or Bourke Street, and get off at Spring Street. There is off street parking near the hotel for those arriving by car.
